80 years of education

The Bnei Akiva Yeshivot and Ulpanot Center is a religious Zionist educational organization that has been operating in Israel since 1954. The beginning of the center was with the Bnei Akiva Kfar Haroeh Yeshiva, which was established by Rabbi Moshe Zvi Neria ZT"L and 13 students in 1940, who continued to establish the ulpanot in Kfar Pines, Hesder Yeshivot and other institutions.

The Bnei Akiva Yeshivot Center was established by Rabbi Avraham Zuckerman ZT"L with the establishment of additional institutions for the Bnei Akiva Yeshiva Kfar Haroeh. Today, the organization has more than 60 institutions throughout the country, from Nahariya in the north to Eilat in the south, including High schools Yeshivot, Ulpanot, Hesder Yeshivot and colleges. The institutions have about 20,000 students, and they have over 60,000 graduates.

Rabbi Zuckerman and Rabbi Neria had a clear educational vision – to educate students for the doctrine of life, and so, to learn science, history, languages and all the knowledge required -so that as adults, they can be servants of Hashem wherever they go.

Today, the Bnei Akiva Yeshivot and Ulpanot organization is led by Rabbi Chaim Druckman, Rosh Yeshivat Bnei Akiva Or Etzion, and the CEO is Elchanan Glatt.

From our Chairman’s desk

More than 80 years ago, the vision of the late Rabbi Moshe Zvi Neria began to take shape.

It all started on a small hill in Kfar Haroeh with a Bnei Akiva Yeshiva of a few dozen students. If in the early years, the focus was on Yeshivas, over the years, the need arose to establish similar institutions for female students as well, and that was the call to open our first Ulpana in Kfar Pines. Today, there are over 70 institutions, not only High schools Yeshivas and Ulpanot, but also Hesder Yeshivas, a college for educational studies and even pre-military preparatory schools.

Thousands of graduates some continue to educate in our organization and institutions, and some have significant positions in a variety of fields in the public sector, are the best evidence of the success of the vision and enterprise of Rabbi Neria ztl. We should have no mistakes, much more work ahead of us and we always face forward, but after 80 years we can proudly say that we have the right to educate our children to contribute to the people of Israel out of holiness and complete faith in the Torah and its way of life.

With the blessing of the Torah and the land of Israel,

Chaim Druckman

Dear teachers, parents, students, and all of the website visitors

Welcome to the new website of the Bnei Akiva Yeshivot and Ulpanot Center. A lot of work was done around the construction of this site, with constant desire for innovation and originality, while maintaining our values and our religious worldview.

The internet has for many years been an important tool for acquiring knowledge, and in recent years with sophisticated mobiles it is available to all of us almost everywhere we go. Therefore, it is important to us that everyone who is interested in the network or who is already part of it in one way or another, can get as much information as possible here on the site.

Among other things, you will find in the various parts of the site full details of over 60 of our institutions throughout the country, including fast and convenient communication channels, a list of our dedicated staff members, articles on current affairs, Torah portion, etc. You can also find information on events that are published In the general and sectoral press, as well as a special area for our educators who are actually the face of the organization.

I sincerely hope that the new site will be another step in achieving our educational goals, as well as an accessible way to anyone interested in becoming a partner in our educational path. I wish all our partners, parents, and students, a blessing of success and continued partnership and action in our educational path.

Elchanan Glatt
